To work on your health and wellness, you do not have to wait for a class or get an equipment in place to start. Health and wellness can be a part of your daily life and is not something you do in a specific time slot.
You are already doing so many things during the day, once you become aware about ‘how’ to do tasks meaningfully, you will be able to incorporate these mindful habits that can help improve your overall wellness. Sharing some pointers below:
1. Being conscious of the conversations you are having and the information you are feeding yourself.
You are constantly exposed to information, you cannot control the kind of information available or the conversations that your are expected to be a part of, what you can control is your participation, engagement and interactions with the external factors.
2. Being mindful of what you are eating.
Needless, to say, food affects not only your physical body but your emotional wellness as well. Being mindful of what you consume gives you massive control over how you behave.
"Wellness encompasses a healthy body, a sound mind and a tranquil spirit. Enjoy the journey as you strive for wellness"- Laurette Gagnon Beaulieu
3. Creating and sticking to a routine/schedule that works for you.
Time is a finite resource, if you do not track it or utilize it mindfully, you are undermining your potential. It is also great way to eliminate things, tasks, conversations from your life that are not serving any purpose in your life.
4. Sleeping routine.
Setting up a time to sleep, it is undervalued and can help replenish and nourish your body naturally.
5. Reframing your thoughts.
Rewiring your thought process shows possibility and a way forward. What you dwell upon defines the way you approach your everyday actions.
5. Reframing your thoughts.
Being kind to your self: It is good to see your self and your work with an objective criticality but the idea for that is to improve and not get in trap of regretting and feeling guilty of your actions.
6. Decluttering your external space will help you in decluttering your internal self.
This simple practice does wonders. Once you are in surroundings that are decluttered, your brain also starts to see things clearly.
7. Connecting with nature.
Nature heals! Connecting with nature can help you calm down.
8. Connecting with your body.
Somatic (body) movements are a way to tap into body intelligence and help you understand how to utilize it in the best possible way.
